Outreach activities by the Society
The SCL is committed to raising awareness about the work we do and it's relevance to water and aquatic ecosystems as sustainable resources.
Recent changes to legislation have required that we as a society have addressed a number of letters to Federal Government Ministers and issued press releases regarding these changes, and are archived on our blog. These activities will continue as issues arise.
SCL is proud to be a member of PAGSE, and values the link it provides between scientific societies, industry and government.
Our members are experts in their field, and as a result appear frequently in the media, and we do our best to keep tabs on when they do.
We are always looking for new ways to bring the science that we do to the people of Canada- feel free to send us your ideas!
